ShareCovid-19 Update- Reopening

Due to the concerns regarding COVID-19 & the safety of our staff & customers we made the difficult decision to furlough our staff on 24th March 2020 & close the factory temporarily.
From Monday 11th May 2020 we will be reopening our company with a number of changes to practice & Health & Safety Procedures within Government Guidelines to safeguard both the staff & customers. There will be a number of new health & safety procedures in place, which are listed below:
1. Initially there will be a much reduced staff team, which will impact on lead times depending on demand
2. Customers & members of the public are not allowed in either the office or factory space
3. Initially there will not be a delivery service
4. Collections are to be made at an agreed time, wherever possible, from outside of the factory
5. We can no longer accept cash payment. Payment methods will be either via Bank Transfer or Card Payment Machine
6. Please do not enter our building if either you, or anyone in your household, is suffering from or has symptoms of COVID-19
As demand increases & when it is safe to do so, we will reintroduce more of our staff team. We will initially be prioritising orders placed before the lockdown occurred.
We appreciate how difficult this is for our industry but we need to remind Trades People that non-essential replacement/installation work should not be undertaken until lockdown is complete or government has issued new guidance.
Where homes or premises are unoccupied or separate to the main building, them the guidance on construction sites which allows work to continue would apply, if social distancing can be maintained. Separation from the house would require a thermal divide – this means that work for many conservatories or rooflines could be carried out.

Covid-19 Update

Here at GB Glass Products limited we are extremely grateful for the hard work and commitment of our employees during the current challenges we face.
Although we made precautions in line with the governments guidance on social distancing to protect our employees and customers, it was not possible for us to consistently maintain a safe social distance between employees. We have therefore make the difficult decision to stop production and close GB Glass temporarily as of Tuesday 24th March.
Although this decision was difficult to make the safety of our staff and customers has been and will always be our main priority. We will continue to review the situation and update you all with any changes via our website and emails in the coming weeks.
We would also like to thank our customers for their patience and loyalty during these uncertain times and look forward to seeing you all again as soon as it is safe for us to reopen.

Notice for all customers regarding COVID-19
Until advised to close by the government we will continue to remain open and trading as usual with a few slight alterations.

Unfortunately we have came into the factory this morning to find we have had a power cut. We are hoping to have the problem resolved this afternoon. Changes to toughened ordering
Due to changes at our suppliers we have had to make a small change to our toughened ordering. From March 2019 if toughened glass is ordered before 9pm on day 1 it will be ready for collection day 5.
